The Cat Cabin has been purposefully planned small scale with a high staff-to-cat ratio so that we can treat our guests as individuals and ensure that every one of them gets the attention they deserve, whether that be time to play or cuddle up on a lap, or being served a special meal.
Settling In
Arrivals and departures are strictly by appointment. This is not only to maintain a calm and relaxed environment in the cattery, but also so that you have time to tell us all about your cats and their individual needs/little ways. And so that you may take them right through into their suite and spend a little time settling them in if you wish. You are more than welcome to bring comfort items along for your cats stay (e.g. favourite toys, blanket, bed) but in the event that we have to put them through the wash during your cats stay, please be aware that we cannot guarantee they will be the same colour/size/shape when we return them.
We make every effort to welcome our guests and help them settle quickly and to aid this we may make use of calming sprays (e.g. Feliway or Pet Remedy) around the suite (synthetic pheromones/herbal solution which promotes the sense of comfort/well-being) and food treats. Please let us know if you do not wish us to use any of these.
Communications Whilst You're Away
As owners ourselves, we know how worrying it is to go off and leave your beloved pet. So, with your permission, we will take photos of your cat(s) mid-holiday and post them free of charge on our Facebook page* so that you can check to see how they are getting on.
Medications
We are happy to administer routine medication to keep your cat healthy. Please detail fully the medication(s) your cat is on when filling in the booking/registration forms and ensure you bring a plentiful supply along with your cat.
Grooming
We will groom long-haired cats during their stay with us but in order to be fair to all our customers, this is charged for separately. However, we will not groom cats that are not used to it/don’t like it and we will not de-matt cats during their stay with us (it is their holiday too). Please make sure you specify that grooming is required on the registration forms, along with how frequently.
* Please note, if you don't have internet access whilst you're away we are happy to send a photo or text message to your mobile phone but there is a small charge to cover the cost of this.
